Sure beats my electric model
Wasn't sure this model would have the power? I needed to trim my edges but I was very happy when I saw what this unit could do.

Designed with Safety and Anti-jamming Features
Very happy with the purchase of the 40V brushless, 26 inch hedge trimmer from my local Home Depot. The design of this hedge trimmer is so much superior than the highly rated DeWatt's 22 inch battery-powered(DHCHT820P) which has a safety lock switch that doesn't turned ON easily. Also, it comes with additional blade guard. The handle and switch provides a built-in safety feature that requires both hands to turn on the device easily. I could trim my evergreen bushes on the same battery charge for a half-hour or more. The blades are sharp enough to cut the thick branches that are more than an inch thick.

More powerful than expected
I bought this to save time trimming the bushes near my walkway in front of the house. I used to do it manually and spend almost an hour. Saw this trimmer for less than expected and was delighted when it came with a battery and a charger for such a low price. Took about 5 minutes to do the trimming I needed. Now I may want to plant more bushes to trim!

This is one awesome tool used twice cuts amazingly well would recommend it to anyone saved me time from stringing out a re-wrapping an extension cord!

Good hadge trimmer
Works well, cuts relatively large branches, smaller branches with ease. So far so good. Time will tell how good this is! It is a little heavy, but that is to be expected.

Nice Trimmer, Battery not so much
I bought this to do a large hedge. Got it home and hooked up to charge. Battery errors out will not charge, completely dead. Had to take it back to HD for another one. One would think quality control would catch this. Other grip is comes with the 2Ah battery. Why not sell it with the 4Ah battery? My Ryobi leaf blower came with the 4ah. for $200 should come with the better battery. Otherwise nice trimmer I like that batteries are interchangable and 40v. This was the main reason I went with Ryobi and might get a mower in the near future.

Very pleased
I bought this trimmer 1-9 to use to trim some large course Pampas Grass. Cut through it with no issues. Couldn’t use the hedge sweep for initial cut as the large leaves and plumes were too heavy. I did not think I would use the rotating handle feature, but, it actually came in handy once a played with it. Looking forward to trimming my Zebra grasses and other shrubs in the coming week.
