The metal stove cover in my Vintage Aristocrat Land Liner was horrible looking and it wasn't useful at all so I decided to build a wooden one that could double as a cutting block. I ripped various pieces of wood down to 2x2 and glued them together to make the cutting block, trimmed the edges and added trim to the ends for a more finished look. Then I traced the metal burners on the back of my cutting block and routered them out so the burners actually sit inside the block. Then I oiled the board a few times and put it in the camper. The time listed includes the time for the glue to dry.
