This was an entrance in a 1878 Brownstone Townhouse. The existing floor was cracking and sagging. We pulled up the existing floor and subfloor. Insulated the space with cellulose insulation blown in and installed 3/4" plywood with a masonry subfloor over that with a structural mat to add stiffness and sound absorption.
The floor was tiled with period octogon and square insert mosaic tiles
