Sturdy Dining Room Chairs
by Danny Ecks
Dec 25, 2013
Solid wood dining room chair set. Completely made of 2x4's, using a Cordless Circular Saw and a cordless Impact Driver.
Takes 34-4 inch self tapping screws. I used non-strip T-25 screws, which came with their own hex-head bit.
Materials (per chair):
2 2x4x120" studs.
1 8 2x4x96" stud.
34 4 inch self tapping screws.
Stainable Wood Filler
Each takes about 1 hour to make, less if you multitask. There's one odd point where you have to wait for glue to set before driving screws, unless you have an assistant.
Entire project cost - less than $70 for four chairs.
