Shop Tables - For Ultimate Dream Workshop Sweepstakes
I posted and submitted the items we built for the Ultimate Dream Workshop Sweepstakes but I didn’t post pictures that really put the projects in place.
We built four shop tables total. We may need to build a few more.
I don’t really know what we need as we have never had room for a wood shop. Until last year we used the miter saw on the floor. That was uncomfortable. After building the Ana White – Ryobi Outdoor Couch I quickly built an infeed table from scraps. Then I wanted better tables.
The table was just built with 2x4’s and pocket holes. Since we built four we cut one sheet of MDF to make the four tops for the four tables. Currently the tops are loose because I have not learned how to router out an area for hinges. Nor have I figured out how to install the struts that help lift the MDF. The design creates a space under the top to store shallow things. We bought ¼ “ plywood for the “desk” bottom.
The table can also have a shelf at the bottom. Currently there is a piece of scrap material creating a shelf. Again, I am unsure of where tools need to be so I started with just a basic open table that I could add shelving to as I figured it out.
I will update with pictures once I have figured out how to router for the hinges and install the struts!
