I was tired of the empty, wasted space on my kitchen island counter and my coffee table (see my coffee table build) so I came up with these easy to build trays. They can be used to display plants or knickknacks, keep your TV remote and cell phone handy, or be used as serving trays.
Being the budget builder that I am I made these out of 1x3 pine and some drawer pulls for the handles. It's not a hard build by any means but in order to get the sides to fit properly your miter cuts need to be exact. It's a great project to teach you to set up and calibrate your miter saw properly and learn how to make adjustments.
I built two versions of this project with one haviing a traditional serving tray length and the second being a shorter version. Fun fact - you can turn these on their ends and add shelves to create a wall hanging display.
I did create a PDF file showing the step by step build process (with photos) but do not see a way to upload the file or list the step by step process within this submission.
