I had a request to do a Blue Lives K9 flag. I basically built this flag the same way as my others. I used furring strips that you can get at your local hardware store fairly cheap. I drew the image of the dog on first, wood burned it, then painted all the pieces. Once I assembled it, I then carved the stars out by using a dremel tool. Then I built a small frame around it, then sprayed a matte clear all over it, even the back to avoid warping. They were very pleased on how it turned out.
