I think Abe Lincoln and Nikola Tesla would approve! I call it "Rustic Sci-fi". I gathered up all of my small pieces of by product and bits and pieces, then went to HD and bought a new pine 1x6x8. I used the 1x6x8 to fabricate two simple rectangular boxes and uprights. Next I took all the odd pieces and drilled through them with different drill bits to create random pieces, then cut them into thin cross sections and stained them in alternating colors. I bought a 1 inch wooden dowel and cut it to length then made a base with a groove hidden the bottom to manage the wiring and then mounted dowel pieces in the base and wrapped them with copper-clad LED lights. The lights are remote controlled and can be dimmed or set to slowly strobe or flicker. The lamp will be an addition to the wine room and cellar in my home. This was challenging fun!
