My son's friend (age 8) came over to play the other day, and he brought over his rubber band gun that his Dad made him, that was cut out of a piece of wood and had a clothes pin. Later that day when he left, my son asked me to build him one. I said "son, we'll do better than that, go big, or go home"...haha... So I drew up some plans and came up with this. It is an 8 shot revolver, made from pine and purple heart. I used purple heart for the mechanics, being that it is a very hard and strong piece of wood, and that it would hold up to the wear and tear. Also, it's one of my favorite woods, and very nice looking when cleared. Overall the gun came out fantastic, and he loves shooting his paper cups with it. :)
