My wife and I found out in February of 2014 that we would be having a baby. We later found out that we would be having a baby boy so we needed to decided on decorations for his nursery. I have some experience in building and refinishing so my wife gave me a task of helping her come up with some ideas. We decided on the nursery design and I thought it would be nice to make an elephant to hang above his crib. I used re-claimed pallet wood for this design. I drew the elephant onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out with a razor knife. I then traced this onto the pallet wood and then used a nail gun to attach this all to cross pieces. It is anchored in with 3 inch screws that are attached to the wall studs. I have since made 2-3 of these for friends. I have found other projects to do for my wife with pallet wood but it would be nice to win this so that I could build a tool supply so that one day I can teach my son how to do some of this on his own.
