Has anyone ever played Carpetball? It’s been a favorite of our Church youth for years!! It’s such a favorite that another table was in order. I was honored to have been asked by the youth Pastor to make a new table.

This project was a bit challenging for me. Took me several weekends to put together. The 12ft 2x10s I originally had purchased were a bit more warped then I thought, so I had to break it down and start with two better quality 2x10s. The project consisted of several easy cuts and from a woodworking standpoint it was a bit easy. The hardest part was making sure everything stayed as level as possible and the carpet.

Thr carpet was very challenging to me. I tried to get out local home improvement store to cut the carpet the actual size I needed but they weren’t willing to customize the cut. So I got a much larger piece of carpet than I needed and had to cut it myself.

Overall I am very pleased with the project and looking forward to watching the Church youth enjoy it for years to come.

  • Carpetball sounds like a blast! This project must have taken a lot of attention to detail, but you nailed it! Fantastic job, your church is lucky to have a skilled builder like you.
