I love love love clocks! I had this beautiful pallet piece given to me by a friend. The beauty about this pallet piece is that the boards were tight together. When I first saw this priceless piece of pallet I knew instantly that this was going to make a wonderful clock! And so the project begins...It was one of my favorite projects to do!

  • This is gorgeous! What a skillful use of pallet wood. This clock would look great in any room. It actually looks pretty awesome as a table top in the third image too!

    • Thank you so much!! I did make a table top as well but didn't submit for this challenge, because the top I made out of reclaimed hardwood flooring. Doing this clock out of the pallet wood gave me that idea. Hope to be able to post that project someday ;)

  • This clock is amazing!! Love all the details. What did you use for the side trim and numbers?
By jgenow, on August 18, 2016
    • The side trim was actually a PVC lattice trim that you can purchase at any home improvement store. This was white and i painted black. The numbers were made out of metal flashing. I cut in strips and painted. I think the next clock I make I will leave the numbers natural color...always good to try new styles. Thank you for your compliment!

  • This is a really cooler idea come to life!
By NewmanFoley, on August 29, 2016

  • Thank you so much! It was really fun to make and honestly not that difficult or costly. Beats paying that high cost price some of the stores charge for a clock this size ;-).

  • Where do you purchase the moving clock parts & hands? I’ve been wanting to make a HUGE clock for a while and am only really finding kits made to do smaller sizes clocks at the crafty type stores in my area.
