I used to do stone work in high school... so for some reason I thought it would be "easy" do it it again almost 20 years later. This was a time consuming project but I like how it turned out. I am proud that I designed and built it myself and incorporated the steps and tree that were existing, and was able to re-use the sod that I cut up to put grass down where the wall didn't cover the old bed. I bought a new ryobi corded circular saw just for this project and it still runs like a champ after all these stone cuts. Except for the tree ring all the wall blocks are square and I made cuts to give the wall a curve. I finished it off with Rubber Mulch, love that stuff!
