Our indoor cats can safely enjoy the outdoors in their new catio! It has multi-level steps, a 5' catwalk, a couple of shelves for them to sleep on, and a free-standing box for them to hide in. Waterproofed the wood, then added some artificial turf and some sisal for scratching posts. 2nd half of the project will be an enclosed tunnel that leads to the house so the cats can come and go as they please. Newbie at woodworking, but had a blast building this with my ever-growing Ryobi tool collection. Biggest time-sink was staining/waterproofing the wood and attaching the 1x1 galvanized wire mesh.
