I wanted to build a bench for my front porch, but I didn't want just any old bench. I wanted something big and solid, perfect for early morning coffee drinking and relaxing with my Lab. I sketched it out and made some rough plans based on the size of my porch then made a trip to Home Depot for timbers and hardware. Someone saw it and called it 'the grand daddy of benches' so I named it Ol' Grandad. My neighbor has been kind enough to let me use his table saw through my adventures in carpentry. It's time to invest in a new Ryobi!
