I made a new bar top out of scrap wood. in the same style as my desk. I decided to make a new bar the old one was not strong enough to hold the bar. so I framed it up with 2x4's and used some eastern read cedar to really set it off it is dark top with red bace ,and all the trim in dark. the top was free pallet wood , the cabinets however were not. I think the dark, and the red really made a special project. you you would like to see how I made the bar top in detail I will put a link to my desk it shows how I did the top.
