I helped a friend rehabbing a house and created these pipe shelves for the kitchen. I used original joists from the house, planed them and finished with a polyacrylic. For the pipes I sprayed them with with a soft iron Rust-Oleum spray and clear coat. It came out better than I expected and love the result.
