For a long time I have wanted to give my garage/man cave a facelift. I got tired of the plain entertainment center, cheap desk and shelves, so I decided to upgrade. I started by building a 10ft long X2ft wide work bench/desk. While I waited for material and funds I constructed temporary shelves out of fence boards which I put in between the wall studs. Next I covered the wall behind the bench with brick paneling, then I put up shelving rails and brackets and made my shelves of the same wood used for bench top. Both the bench and shelves were stained dark walnut. I used my buddies Ryobi brad nailer, circular saw and jigsaw. The brad nailer is fantastic!
