I had a leftover door, and decided to whip up a quick bench. I went with the church pew design. I kept the hardware on, for a place to hang a hat, purse, scarf, ect. Done in black chalk paint, scuffed with a matte finish. I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

  • It's always such a treat to see another piece from you. This looks really fantastic. You built this entirely from one 5-panel door?
By RYOBI Nation, on July 20, 2016
    • Thank you!...Yes, it only takes one 5 panel door to do so. I can't even begin to think, how many of theses I have made for people..lol

  • Is there a way to get the instructions for building this?
By JulieNygaard, on August 4, 2016
    • Julie, I don't have any instructions, but I did find a link that shows you how to cut the door out... One thing I will mention is you will have to build support for under the seat like i did, otherwise the seat may break. As long as you put support beams under it, you can have two people sit on it no problem... Here is a link, i hope this helps! :) http://lovegrowswild.com/2016/01/old-door-new-bench/

  • I can’t see the instructions????
By Monak, on January 19, 2018
    • Monak, these projects are submitted by various RYOBI Nation members and therefore do not always have detailed instructions. However, the creator of this project gave a helpful link in the comments above. If you are looking for projects that give step-by-step directions, please check out the How-To tab above and the featured projects listed under there. Sorry for any confusion!
