I actually made this bench in about 30-45 mins, start to finish. I wanted to whip up a quick bench for the back porch. I found two old chairs, cut an arm off of each chair, glued and screwed the two chairs together, painted it with black chaulk paint, then I ripped a 2x4 down to make the slats for the seat, glued and nailed them in place, and finally cleared it with a matte finish. It turned out pretty nice for a half hour to 45 min project, and makes a nice place to sit in the evenings with the wife. :)

  • This turned out great! Very impressive that you completed it so quickly! Your finish/paint combo looks great.

    • Yeah it was a very very quick flip. I wasn't looking for perfection. Just something that looked decent, and was comfortable to sit on.
