This is a table that I designed for a customers that wanted two concepts in one. This table can be buffet for serving with built in ice buckets for condiments and other cold food ( keeps ice for 8 hours). However it has a leaf that lifts up and legs that slide out for a convenient table that can fit up to 10 adults. This table was a challenge for me! The customer wanted something that she could use for multipurpose. It took me about 4 weeks to plan and build, with a lot of trial and error. The ice buckets I had seen before but wanted to add to them. Both buckets have a drain inside, they are both conceited to PVC and then to a spicket on the side for easy drain into a bucket or attach a hose. I also wanted them to stay colder longer as my customer lives in FL. So I put spray foam insulation all around the buckets and incase them with wood for a nicer finish.
Since the table weights about 400lb I wanted it to still be movable for one person. I decided that removable casters from Rocklers would be the best fit. I was right! When they are all engaged one person can move the table with easies.
