Barn Door Console Table

My sister bought her first home and needed more storage in this small kitchen area. She and I live in separate states so we don't get to see each other often. When she came for a visit, she knew she wanted to make something for this space. She is a newbie with woodworking so I was able to spend time showing her how to build this Ana White and Shanty-2-Chic inspired barn door console table.

It took us a weekend to build it and we got quality sister time together! We ran into a few hiccups: had to make four trips to the hardware store - 2 trips since we didn't have enough room in our car to buy all the lumber, had to return the wrong hardware part, and drive to a second store since one of the parts was out of stock. The biggest challenge, however, was trying to hang up the doors so they would be even! This table was built using Ana White's Grandy Console Table plan and Shanty-2-Chic's DIY barn door hardware plan.
