While my wife and I were expecting our first child we decided to sale our house, move more than 1,000 miles, find/purchase a new home and get a the baby's room ready before they arrive. Well we succeeded and boy was it crazy! My wife and I were completely sick of painting as we had just painted every room in our old home, so we opted to leave the the tan color half wall and install shiplap over the blue. My new employer distributes various wood products including shiplap to more than 400+ big box stores. I used a product that we manufacture that is pre-painted and you can use a wax stick to fill in the holes left by your nail gun. My wife and I were able to throw up all this shiplap in 1 weekend. We used 16' boards to have a seamless look around the room. This project was easy using my Ryobi sliding miter saw, cordless jigsaw, 18 ga nailer, stud finder and other various small tools. Also on a side note: that dresser in the last picture. I build this while in high school and decided to sand off the finish, stain it to match the bedroom set and re-apply a top coat. Having two orbital sanders made it nice so I didn't have to switch the grit all the time, but rather just pick up the other sander.
