We were having a family reunion coming up, and they ask for craft donations to raffle off chances to win for fun. I wanted to make something unique, and I came up with the idea of an old wooden Zeno Gum Machine. I made it out of all scrap lumber that I had lying around, printed out an old label off the internet and placed it behind some plexiglass. I made all the mechanics out of wood. I must say, that it took a great deal of planning, trial, and error, to make it that it would release one gumball, with a drop of one penny. I didn't want it to be a simple turn of a knob function. It had a door in the back that would unlock to get the money. I then stained, wood burned, and cleared. It was the talk of the reunion. Everyone was buying chances. :)
