I found a bunch of pallets and wood scraps in the trash where they are building new homes. I decided to try to make a chair for my son as a Christmas gift; he loves to fish so I wanted to try to make it look a Mahi. Since the wood was free I figured it wouldn’t matter if it came out looking like a hot mess. First I cut out the base using 2x4s and a 2x6. Next I cut out the head and tail then trimmed down the slats, used the router on all the edges and screwed it together. Painting the chair took me a little while but it came out great. This is my first chair I am very happy with it. I plan to make one for myself next.
