I helped a mom of 3 transform her family room - specifically the fireplace.
I made the 6 floating shelves and storage benches before hand so we could focus our attention on the fireplace.
It took about 5 long days of nonstop hard work and multiple trips to home improvement store (home depot), to get this project done. It was surely a labor of love project.
There is a before picture showing the room before paint -- unfortunately the fireplace portion was covered with plastic tarp, but it had stones from ceiling to hearth.
I had to drive 9 hours from south Florida to Augusta Georgia with my power tools in tow to help her get this project made. I'd love to gift her some tools soon because she is certainly into DIY-ing since we've had chances to transform rooms in her house little by little.
