    • Nicely done! That is awesome. How did you attach the lights?
By RYOBI Nation, on November 10, 2017

    • I figured out the size of the light socket and used my Ryobi drill and drill bits to cut them out. Held in place partly because the bulbs are larger than the sockets, and on the back, I used a stereo wire stapler to collect the extra wire and to help hold every thing in place. Thanks for the comment!

    • Festive! What kind of tool did you use to cut these out?
By RYOBI NATION, on December 6, 2017

    • Most of the cutting was done with my Ryobi 10 inch Miter saw, all angles are 30 degrees You may not be able to see in these pictures, but the tops are flat to attach a hanging screws, that cut was done with my P340 18V JOB PLUS MULTI-TOOL KIT - GREEN. Which also was used to do all the sanding. After this picture I needed to do one more quick one, of course there is always another one to be made, I used one of these as a template and cut it all out of one piece of wood, instead of the three pieces these were made out of. I cut it out with my of Ryobi zig saw and it worked good as well. Need to give credit where credit is due, I did the woodwork, but my wife designed and preformed the artwork on them.

    • Where do I get the pattern
By Northernlites, on January 12, 2018

    • Sorry, they were hand drawn. Email me at Txgent10@hotmail.com and ask for arrow pattern and I will send you a copy of what I worked with. I've also done these in two different sizes. Every time I make a set, someone else see them and wants a set LOL

      • Let's not forget the hat! Thanks, I could of made it much faster, but I wanted to do something different with the lid.
        By Txgent10, on March 2, 2018
      • The hat wasn't showing in the photo, your head got a little chopped off. But we are glad you are supporting RYOBI by wearing your hat, shirt, and using the coffee mug!

By MISSVICKIE, on February 28, 2018
      • Wish I could of done it in a weekend, guess some day maybe good enough, I did the top piece one board at a time, so that alone was a couple weeks. The rest is just a fancy box, loved the work and the final project for me is a one of a kind. With that said, I have considered making a second one LOL

    • Would love the directions for this amazing basket! WTG Great job!!!
      By FlashsPlace111, on April 2, 2018
      •  This is Mr Steve Good's website, has 100s of free downloads, just asks for donations.  Search for Bowls or baskets.  Has several to pick from.  While his patterns are very good, I do have a tendency to do slight modifications. I have another basket for next month (May Day) that I added a tray onto.

    • So intricate and beautiful! You should be so proud of yourself!  What tools were most helpful to make this?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 3, 2018
      • Well this is a scroll saw project, so would start there.  The final look has to be accredited to my Ryobi 18v random orbital sander.
        By Txgent10, on May 3, 2018
      • We are happy to hear our tools were able to help you get the job done!

    • This sign is so nice! Did you use a scroll saw for this one?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 3, 2018
      • Yes, I am getting good practice in with the scroll saw, Already working on my November and December projects.  But starting next month, I'm making some furniture again.  Excited for the upcoming projects.

    • Nice build! Did you alter Steve's plans at all or follow what he had listed? It looks like a handy piece to have around the shop!
By RYOBI NATION, on May 11, 2018

    • Steve does encourage his students to make it their own, I did follow pretty close, but anyone who knows these plans will see I did adjust to my needs to include height, arrangement of shelves and of course the Texas Star. Very sturdy and mobile.  I am making two of these for a much bigger project you all will get to see later this year or early next year.  These will be use to house my Ryobi 18v tools. Doing a total workshop redo.
      By Txgent10, on May 12, 2018
      • That's great! We like it when people go by plans and then make it their own, too!

    • correction on the first line should read: Special needs child. sorry was very tired when I inputted it.

      By Txgent10, on June 19, 2018

    • Wow! Between the grain and the personalization on the side we are impressed! Is this the first iPad holder you've made?
By RYOBI NATION, on June 19, 2018
      • Yes, I did a lot of research and could not find one that met the needs of this child, so designed this one myself.  I almost included the picture of my working prototype, in fact we use it ourselves now, but would be hard pressed to recognize or connect it with the final project.

By RYOBI NATION, on July 11, 2018
      • For this project, I would have to say my random orbital sander.
        By Txgent10, on July 12, 2018
      • The orbital definitely is a workhorse! Glad it helped you out!

By RYOBI NATION, on July 31, 2018
      • Thanks, we had a lot of fun making them! We had looked at buying a stand up computer desk, but making one makes it not only a lot more special, but I think they are a better made table than most you can buy.
Plus we got to make a matching printer stand :)

    • We know that scroll saw projects with this much detail take quite a bit of time. Beautiful work! Are they all unique, or did you create multiples of the different designs?
By RYOBI Nation, on November 1, 2018
      • While there are a few that are similar, each is a one of a kind for me.  A lot of the patterns did not even come from woodworking plans, a few even were just a picture that I turned into plans. Finding all the snowflakes was all part of the fun.  If you go to my Pinterest you will find many of the patterns I used. #TheWeekendWoodworker

      •  Thank you, in small shops, it is all about mobility, the more things you can do with the same piece, the better.
        By Txgent10, on December 26, 2018

    • Nicely done.  This project is on my to-do list.

      • Thanks,  if you would like the plans to the BMW (Basic Mobile Workbench)  you should check out Steve Ramsey #Theweekendwoodworker   These are all my variations to his work bench.
        By Txgent10, on December 26, 2018

    • Perfect! I just built the original mobile workbench and I love it. I was wondering if you have any dimensions or plans for this miter saw table? or atleast the table top dimensions. I am trying to cross reference between the WWWW plans and this picture
      By j.boeri, on April 7, 2020

    • I guess a better question than my previous would be, what is the difference in space between the upper shelf and the lower one the miter sits on, so that i know what length to make those 2x4s
      By j.boeri, on April 8, 2020
      • Sorry for such a long time, I dropped the miter saw side by 3 inches, the measurement from the table to the top of the saw.  Also check out Steve’s Workshop course, he has a mitersaw table I’ve switched to.

    • That's so funny! We love the creativity and the new woodburning skills your wife has acquired! Can't wait to see more!
By RYOBI Nation, on January 30, 2019 (edited)
      • That is wood burning, not turning, but yes, learning new woodworking skills is always fun.  This was cut with a scroll saw, and rounded with a router round over bit.

    • Would love to have the pattern for the moose head.
How can I get it please!!
By JackBurkhart, on January 4, 2021

    • Sorry, the moose is an original piece of art, a lot of it was done free hand.  What we do have for patterns are very large and very rough.  Wife suggested if you took our pictures, projected the on a wall covered in paper, you should be able to at least get a rough outline.
