    • I love this! I have worked in a printing company for 18 years and we had a press exactly like this! I would love to make one of these. Would you be willing to share more details?
By KrikketMann, on March 15, 2013

    • I could scan the "rough" plans I worked from, but they are far from through. If that works tell me were to send.

    • Great idea....and nice work.

    • My Lord and Savior on Good Friday. What a beautiful project.
      By DodgeRam99, on March 29, 2013

    • Couldn't agree more! Do you have plans for it? How important is artistic talent needed?
By TheBusDriver, on March 29, 2013

    • Thanks, sorry didn't read the other comments. I don't really have plans but I do have a pattern for the compound cut for the body. My Ryobi orbital spindle sander is a must to have. Couldn't do with out it. I'll try to remember to scan it and add that to the listing.
By mrpip, on August 5, 2013

    • That is beautiful. I would love to see the pattern for the Christ. I could easily make a cross proportionate to the Christ.

    • Beautiful crucifix.

      • Thanks, just finished the crib in time. My first grandson was born Monday. Eventually I'll post it too.

    • Your crib and changing table are just beautiful.
By Carol Ta, on June 6, 2016
      • Thank you. Hours of work but worth every minute. Seeing him in the crib the first time was priceless.
By mrpip, on June 11, 2016

    • I can testify they look better in person. Thanks Dad.

    • MRPIP, this is absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful way to welcome your new grandson. Congratulations, and well done!
By RYOBI Nation, on May 10, 2016

    • Thanks. It was a lot of work, but seeing him in the crib this week made it all worth it. On a side note, that crib is strong. He could grow to 40lbs and bounce around in it and no worries. As a guy who has bought and won a bunch of Ryobi tools, I can truly say they are reliable. That's what I want from my tools.
By mrpip, on May 10, 2016

    • Very amazing!!! Love it!
By rchampine, on August 31, 2016
      • Thank you. This one might be my favorite. Stalked your work. I would say your fireplace is amazing too. Unfinished it looked nice, finished was beautiful.
By mrpip, on September 1, 2016

    • You are a very talented woodworker. This is definitely heirloom quality!
By Bodypeersur, on January 5, 2017
      • Thanks. I was incredibly lucky for years. My Father-In-Law owned a saw mill in southern Indiana. I printed fro him and he got me rough cut unseasoned hardwood. I quickly bought a small planner and learned to stick and dry my lumber. The cherry came from him.

    • Makes me want to redo my shop!
By ianwaddell, on December 4, 2016
      • I bet I watched the Jay Bates video series 3 times before I decided to go for it. With putting in my limited weekend hours it took a long time. The dovetailed drawers added time and strength. I took over my shop years ago and just used the existing cabinets. I'm so glad I finally have made at least part of it my own. Can't wait to tie in the radial arm. I don't use it often but when I do it's usually a 4 x 4 or larger dado.
By mrpip, on December 4, 2016

    • Looks like an awesome shop, I am planning something for my shop but size is a problem for me.
      By ued5, on December 5, 2016
      • Downsize it. You don't have to make it that big. I have seen ones that use a pull up section to give it the length.
By mrpip, on December 30, 2016

    • I love it. I'm not sure I want to work that hard though. lol.
      By tfulner_17886, on December 20, 2016
      • Thanks, I think? You do have to enjoy the build.
By mrpip, on December 30, 2016

    • This looks so nice!! I want I want..lol.
By rchampine, on December 28, 2016

    • I think you are capable of making one. Just know if you make that many drawers and don't just butt joint them, it will be time consuming. I still haven't filled even half of the drawers. I think I'm going to have to label the drawers for a while at least.
By mrpip, on December 30, 2016

    • nice build.
By pvslammer, on January 18, 2017

    • GREAT JOB FOR A SECOND I THOUGHT IT WAS JAY BATES SHOP BUT THEN I SAW THE ROUND KNOBS HE AS RED WING KNOB...AWSOME JOB
By clbj, on April 24, 2017

    • Do you have a fairly large shop? I've wanted to so something similar but the space I'm setting up is only 11 x 22 and the projects plans on that from Jay seem enormous.
      By coreyschaaf1, on September 25, 2017

    • I can't tell from the pics, is there dust collection?
By kbakek, on October 6, 2017

    • What? No Red Wings drawer pulls? Seriously, though, I knew where you got the idea when I saw it. Good recreation of a great plan! Congrats.

      • So does my 6 ft Daughter and 6' - 5" future son-in-law lol.  Thanks.  I am working on a second coat of tongue oil.  I need to take a new picture.  The wood looks amazing with the oil finish.

    • These look great! How large are they?
By RYOBI NATION, on August 21, 2018
      • The overall size is  7" x 7" x 15" plus the hook.  They weight about 6 lbs each empty.  I'm glad they decided against the shepherd's hook idea of hanging them.  I'm not sure they would have held up in the sand.  Honestly the hardest part was the glue up.  Lining up the up end grain glue up was not easy.  I didn't trust them to last without the dowel pegs to hold them.  No nails, no screw.  Just pegs and glue.
By mrpip, on August 21, 2018

    • Nice job! I like how you left the wood pegs visible.
By fEzZ, on September 1, 2018
      • Thanks, that was my favorite part too.
By mrpip, on September 4, 2018

    • I really like the wenge and maple.   I bet these look great wherever your daughter puts them. Looks like a fun project.
By cvfraser, on September 4, 2018
      • It was thanks.  Congrats on the win.  Hope you enjoy the new tools.
