    • Could you please give details on the type and thickness of wood used? Looks very nice, would like to give it a try.

      • 3/4 inch Birch plywood from Home Depot. Birch iron on edge banding as well. I used a Walnut color stain to give it the period look. Fastened with Kreg pocket-hole joinery and then pluged the holes also. Thanks MtlTidBits and good luck!

    • Awesome turn out! This modern design looks really great- love the blending of mid-century elements. It looks great in the space.

    • Great work on this. Very good way to protect an old and valuable piece of equipment.

    • Thanks. Now I just have to learn how to cook with it. I'm a Traeger guy.

    • I'm new to working with wood and tools needed. I wish you had a video or pictures showing how you made this.

      • Sorry I don't. Always wish I had when I'm done. I cut the door length wise and used one side for the top. I used a jigsaw to get the surfboard shape. I then cut the other side in several pieces and glued them together to get longer pieces. I then used the jigsaw again to get the shape for the legs. I did have to buy a 1x6 poplar board for the middle shelf, mostly for stabilization.

    • This is so cool! What a creative way to make use of your solid door- so much better than letting it go to waste. This is an awesome design- the way you did the legs really ties the entire piece together!

    • Thanks. It was fun to do.
