    • This looks awesome! Way to put your skills to work and save some money at the same time. The finish looks great. Your materials list stain and spray paint- did you use a combination of these two to get this finish?

      • I did. After putting the pallets together, I sanded it down and stained it. I then applied vinyl stickers for the roman numerals and gave it a couple coats of white spray paint. My 2 year old loved helping me peel the stickers off. After that I just gave it a light sanding to give it a little distressed looked! This was my first time doing any type of not straight cuts, so not too bad!

    • Oh, now it's clear! You peeled the stickers off after the spray paint so the numbers show that rich brown underneath! Truly awesome work! Thanks for sharing this with us.

    • Where did you get the clock hands and moving parts. I’ve been wanting to make a huge clock for the same reason as you mentioned with price and I have everything on hand from other projects except the moving parts and hands. All the kits I’ve found aren’t really made to use hands that large and all come with tiny hands and numbers. I plan to make my own numbers but want the clock motor to be able to handle the weight of large sized (and therefore heavier) clock hands

    • What a creative idea! The sign look perfect with the rustic animal frames below it too. Did you already have those pieces, or did you make those too?

      • I made the picture frames from scrap wood I had from other projects! I found the free prints on pinterest and printed them off on burlap! Love the farmhouse/rustic feel it gives my kitchen!
