I was curious on how you made your cuts?

I used the circular saw set to 45° and a clamp down edge guide to keep the cut straight.

I use French cleats everywhere I can! Such a universal way to hang anything. Anything that has triangle geometry is going to be extremely strong. I will post my power tool shelf I made, that is hung by a French cleat. Made it with 3/4 inch mdf and it currently holds over 15 tools 10 batteries and 3 chargers. I'm not even slightly concerned about the 3/4 inch ash ply cleat, cut at 45 degrees, ever failing! I'm glad I found someone else who uses French cleats!! Can't believe I had to search 10 pages to find someone who did though. Cheers!

Love this! Can I ask how you made them? I’d love to make some things like this

For the head I cut 3 pieces of wood all the same size (whatever the size you want the head to be), the middle piece was cut in half so I could create the mortise for the Handel to go through. When I laminated the 4 pieces together I put the center pieces at a slight angle so when driving a wedge into the Handel it expands and holds the head on.
