  1. Project Steps

    1. Step: 1

STEP 1: Clamp down your wood and cut your 1"x2" planks into 11 even pieces (ours were 32" in length, but you can choose to make these longer or shorter!) using your circular saw. Also cut the 1"x2" wood into 30 2" long rectangles to be used as spacers.

    2. Step: 2

STEP 2: Using your nailer, attach three spacers (near the bottom, in the middle, and near the top) to one 32" piece of wood. TIPS: - Make sure to use a guide to be sure that all of the spacers are evenly placed where you want them. - Make sure when attaching the first spacers that you have the 32" piece placed against something solid for safety.

    3. Step: 3

STEP 3: Once the spacers are placed where you like them, attach the next 32" piece of wood against those. Continue until you are out of wood pieces and they are all connected by spacers!

    4. Step: 4

STEP 4: Sand all sides down in preparation for staining.

    5. Step: 5

STEP 5: Stain your wood evenly. Feel free to use more coats of stain in order to get the color you're looking for.

    6. Step: 6

STEP 6: Once the stain is dry, enjoy your new eye-catching entryway decoration!
