Halloween Pumpkins with Treat Storage

I wanted pretty wooden pumpkins for my Halloween display in the front yard and also needed a nice way to store and serve the candy to the trick or treaters. These pretty Halloween Pumpkins with Treat Storage are the perfect solution.

Print Options

  1. Project Steps

    1. Step: 1

      Cut the pieces for the storage box as shown on the image.

    2. Step: 2

      Cut the pieces for the pumpkin with a scroll saw, jig saw or band saw. Paint as desired. Allow paint to dry.

    3. Step: 3

      Make a pattern for the main pumpkin piece and stem or draw shape freehand on the plywood.

    4. Step: 4

      Make a pattern for center pumpkin (just an oval) for the pumpkin center piece or draw shape freehand on the plywood.

    5. Step: 5

      Assemble pumpkin pieces using wood glue. Secure with clamps until glue dries.

    6. Step: 6

      Assemble boxes with wood glue and narrow crown staples.

    7. Step: 7

      Attach storage box to back of pumpkin with wood glue and narrow crown staples.

  • I love DIY projects a lot of our furniture and décor items was handmade by me and my husband. It's nice to be able to design things the way you want and create your own furnishings. I love the pumpkins they are beautiful and the colors are nice.
