Halloween Pumpkins with Treat Storage



I wanted pretty wooden pumpkins for my Halloween display in the front yard and also needed a nice way to store and serve the candy to the trick or treaters. These pretty Halloween Pumpkins with Treat Storage are the perfect solution.

  1. Project Steps

    1. Step: 1

      Cut the pieces for the storage box as shown on the image.

    2. Step: 2

      Cut the pieces for the pumpkin with a scroll saw, jig saw or band saw. Paint as desired. Allow paint to dry.

    3. Step: 3

      Make a pattern for the main pumpkin piece and stem or draw shape freehand on the plywood.

    4. Step: 4

      Make a pattern for center pumpkin (just an oval) for the pumpkin center piece or draw shape freehand on the plywood.

    5. Step: 5

      Assemble pumpkin pieces using wood glue. Secure with clamps until glue dries.

    6. Step: 6

      Assemble boxes with wood glue and narrow crown staples.

    7. Step: 7

      Attach storage box to back of pumpkin with wood glue and narrow crown staples.
