This console table is so easy to build, requires minimal tools and is built with only 1x4 and 1x3 boards! It not only makes a great sofa table, it would work as an entry table, a buffet table in for your dining room, a rolling island in your kitchen or even a desk for a narrow space. I assembled the entire table with my Airstrike Finish Nailer! It’s quick, easy and only cost me about $120!! Follow this tutorial and download the printable plans to build your own!

  1. Project Steps

    1. Step: 1

**Exclusive Feature**: Click here to download Shanty 2 Chic's blueprints for this How-To! Start by assembling the legs. Attach a 1x3 to a 1x4 with wood glue and the Airstrike Finish Nailer.

    2. Step: 2

After building the top and bottom frame, attach the bottom frame first (make sure the bottom of the frame is flush with the bottom of the legs.

    3. Step: 3

Next, attach the top frame, flip the table upside down and attach the feet.

    4. Step: 4

Now, cut the slats for the bottom frame and attache them to the bottom frame with wood glue and nails.

    5. Step: 5

Cut the side angle pieces and attach with wood glue and nails. Measure and cut as you go for this part.

    6. Step: 6

Move to the back angle pieces and attach these the same way. These pieces will fit snug agains the back legs then split the center.

    7. Step: 7

Now for the top! Attach the planks with wood glue and nails.

    8. Step: 8

Apply a finish and attach your casters! I couldn’t find black locking casters so I bought gray and spray painted them. This step is optional :) I chose Varthane’s Early American stain to finish the piece!

    9. Step: 9
